Michele is a therapeutic behavior analyst with a master’s degree in social work, certified in addictions, as well as a certified mental health professional. In addition she has a certification in nonprofit management and business management. Michele is a trained mediator for family court and serves as a professional witness for the legal system when needed. Michele is a dynamic motivational speaker who specializes in the area of anger management, conflict resolution, life skills and self-empowerment.
Michele is the former Executive Director of the Seminole County Healthy Start Coalition. Prior to this position, she was the Vice-President of the Community Service Center for 17 years. During her time at the Center, Michele was responsible for providing services to the schools in Orange County. Specializing in anger management and self-empowerment, she provided clinical groups and individual counseling to children ages 4 to 19. She worked closely with SAFE coordinators and principals to provide much needed social skills groups, grief and loss, addictions recovery, children of alcoholics and substance abusers, divorce and anything else the school needed at the time. She was frequently utilized in severe crisis situations to assist with intervention.
In addition, Michele wrote and taught court-mandated parenting and anger management classes for people charged with aggravated child abuse and domestic violence. Her classes were sponsored thereby allowing the participants to come to the classes free of charge.
She is a Lifetime Master Trainer for Ruby Payne’s Understanding Poverty model. She has a passion for and has dedicated her life to helping people in poverty and the working poor to have access to services others take for granted.
Michele continues to volunteer for Hospice and specializes in vigils in the final hours of life.
